  • Tapping ⚡ Slash no longer shows a loading screen. The launcher used to count every category by walking the 5.4 MB command catalogue, so it had to be loaded on demand and you saw 'Loading SlashBar…' while your phone parsed it. Those counts are now generated ahead of time (bun run slashbar:counts → src/lib/slashbar-counts.ts) and the launcher ships with the shell, so the overlay appears in the same frame as the tap
  • Links preload on intent — pointing at or touching a SlashKit fetches that page's code before you let go, so opening a tool lands on the tool instead of a pause
  • SlashKits grows from 312 to 335 tools: Curly Quotes, Markdown to Plain Text, Split Into Chunks, Repeat Text, JSON Path Explorer, JSON Schema Generator, curl to fetch, .env to JSON, Number Base Converter (exact BigInt maths, so long IDs keep every digit), Markdown Table to CSV, HMAC Signature, Basic Auth Header, Data URI Encoder, Password Strength (entropy plus a real brute-force time), px to rem, Colour Mixer, CSS Specificity, UTM Campaign Builder, SEO Title Audit, HTTP Status Codes, Date in Every Timezone, Duration Formatter and the ULID Generator
  • Every new tool runs entirely in your browser with nothing uploaded, and each carries a real sample that runs the moment the page opens
  • A new check (bun run tools:smoke) runs all 153 declarative tools against their own samples and fails if any is missing an implementation or returns nothing

  • Fixed the freeze that made /search, /find and /tools/finder unusable: the client rendered a whole second document - <html>, <head> and <body> - inside its own #root container, so the browser's selectionchange event, fired the instant a search box takes focus, sent React's event system into an endless walk at 100% CPU. The browser now renders only the page content, and React 19 keeps hoisting each page's title and meta tags into <head> as before
  • Every search box is focused again on arrival, and typing, suggestions and the results grid respond immediately
  • The pre-paint theme script moved to /theme-init.js, loaded by both the server-rendered shell and the static shell, so the saved theme is applied before the first paint
  • Unrelated network failures - a blocked quote feed, a web font, a missing image - are no longer mistaken for a stale app bundle, so the site no longer wipes its caches and reloads over them

  • Every tool page is in the sitemap now: the 160 hand-built tools (BMI, EMI, cron, colour picker and the rest) were missing from it entirely — sitemap.xml went from 518 to 677 URLs
  • Titles and search snippets quote the real catalogue totals (5,704 commands, 289 tools, 91 games, 138 glossary terms) instead of stale guesses like '5,000+', '150+' and '560+', generated from the data so they cannot drift again
  • Removed an invalid search-box block from the structured data that pointed Google at a page the site tells it not to crawl
  • The share card reads those same live counts, and the sitemap regenerates on every build
